More Power for Larger Systems
While a standard bypass heater operates on a single phase, the eddi+ utilizes all three phases and delivers up to 9 kW. This allows you to quickly heat a large water heater tank using your own solar power. Heating a 300-liter water heater from 20 to 60 °C requires about 14 kWh—at full power, this takes about an hour and a half.
The difference from the eddi
The eddi (single-phase) delivers up to 3 kW and is perfect for an average household with a single water heater. The eddi+ (three-phase) delivers up to 9 kW and is designed for three-phase homes, larger water heater capacities, thermal storage, and commercial applications. Not sure which one is right for you? Check your electrical connection: if you have 3-phase power, the eddi+ is the logical choice.
Precise Redirection with VariSine™ Technology
Using CT sensors, the eddi+ continuously measures your import and export and adjusts the power output with an accuracy of 0.1%. This way, it uses your surplus precisely, staying well within grid standards.
Smart schedules, off-peak power, and the app
In addition to automatic rerouting, Boost lets you heat at full power temporarily, and with the Boost Timer, you can set specific times—for example, in the morning during off-peak hours. Everything can be controlled via the myenergi app.
