CT Clamp (Small Model)

zappi & eddi come standard with one wired CT clamp.

The 22-kW 3-phase Zappi comes standard with 3 CTs.

One (or 3, in the case of a 3-phase inverter) additional CT clamp is required if you want to view the real-time output of your solar/wind system on your product’s LCD screen. (Optional—nice to have, but not necessary)

PLEASE NOTE! This is a smaller version of the standard CT clamp; you can use this CT to measure currents up to 40A. Furthermore, this is not a “clip-on” model, so you’ll need to disconnect the relevant cable to thread it through the CT. This is for advanced electricians only!

With this Clamp Terminal, zappi can take measurements on the phase cable(s) of the main fuse to monitor its protection status, the home’s energy consumption, the surplus from your own energy generation, as well as the output of your energy system (solar panels or wind turbine).

The single-phase Zappi and Eddi come standard with 1 CT included with the Zappi (the 3-phase Zappi comes with 3 CT clamps).

With an additional CT, you can also display the output of your solar panels, which can be viewed on the display. It is not necessary for proper operation to install a CT on the inverter as well. This is only necessary to obtain a complete overview on the display (and via the HUB in the app) of all information regarding where the electricity comes from or goes.

For Zappi v1 models: If you want to perform a 3-phase measurement, you must use 3 CTs in combination with Harvi—you can only connect 2 terminals via wires in the Zappi v1.

For the Zappi v2 models: If you want to perform a 3-phase measurement, you can connect 3 clamps directly (wired) and/or connect them wirelessly using a Harvi 3 (additional) clamps
