Libbi gives you…

Ultimate control over your stored energy

The Libbi isn't just any battery system; it's eco-intelligent. It charges when the sun is shining or when energy rates are low. It discharges immediately whenever power is needed in your home, so you don't have to draw energy from the grid. This way, the Libbi maximizes your self-consumption and helps you save as much as possible on your energy costs.

Libbi is smart…

Intelligently connected, easy to use

libbi integrates seamlessly with your existing myenergi devices. This allows it to make smart decisions about when to charge or discharge based on your usage, your rate, and the electricity you generate yourself. libbi has 5 core functions:

Don't feed your free, green excess solar power back into the grid! Store your electricity during the day and use it in the evening, especially during expensive peak periods.

Don't have solar power? The Libbi charges only during off-peak hours or when the sun is shining, and discharges strategically to reduce standby power consumption and supply household appliances with affordable electricity.

You have complete control over what you want libbi to do and when you want it to do it! Set priorities in the myenergi app to control when libbi charges and discharges to meet your needs.

Optional blackout backup, to maintain power to a dedicated circuit in the event of a power outage.

You have complete control over how the stored energy is used by setting priorities for devices in the myenergi app; libbi won't run out of power when an electric car is plugged in, unless you choose to let it.

Manage, maximize, and monitor your energy all in one place

The app seamlessly connects to all your myenergi devices, giving you full control and access from anywhere in the world. Check the battery charge level, choose where your stored energy goes in your home, and more!

Modular Storage

The libbi system has a modular design and can be customized to meet your needs. Each module has a capacity of 5 kWh, so if you combine 4 of them, you’ll have 20 kWh of storage capacity

Home Ecosystem

libbi is designed to work in harmony with your other myenergi devices.
Prioritize where stored electricity is routed—whether for use in your home, to charge your car, or to heat your water heater.

Green or Gray… the choice is yours

Whether you want to charge your Libbi using solar power, the power grid, or a combination of both, the choice is yours. If you choose to charge from the power grid, we’ll optimize it based on your dynamic rates, if desired

Remote Control

With the myenergi app, you can access and control your libbi from anywhere in the world! Live displays and graphs let you track your imported and exported electricity all in one place

An energy storage system that meets your needs.

Libbi functions as both an AC- and DC-coupled battery system with solar PV. Connect solar panels without the need for a separate inverter or retrofitting an existing AC system.

Situation I don't have solar panels, but I'd like to have them, along with battery storage I don't have solar panels and can't/don't want to install them I have solar power and I want to add battery storage I already have solar power and want to add more, including storage

If you have a dynamic-pricing plan from your electricity provider, libbi optimizes charging during cheaper periods and stores the energy so you can use it during more expensive peak hours

If you want to add solar power in the future, you can do so at any time without having to purchase a separate solar inverter, since the libbi system includes one.

Absolutely! Libbi was designed to work in harmony with our existing products and connect your home battery storage to our energy ecosystem.
Using the intuitive settings in our mobile app, you can determine if and when Libbi discharges power to your Zappi, Eddi, and home. This allows you to decide for yourself how you want to use your stored electricity.

Dynamic rates are available from some electricity providers. With these rates, you can take advantage of lower energy prices at certain times of the day. These times are usually off-peak hours, when there is less demand on the power grid. Prices may also be lower during the day, for example, when there is plenty of sun and wind.

Yes! Customers with a flexible (or dynamic) rate plan (for example, in the Netherlands: Nieuwe Stroom, ANWB, Energyzero, Tibber, Frank) can charge their Libbi and optimize it during cheaper price periods.

Libbi offers customers the option to charge their vehicles using only their solar panels, or a combination of solar power and the utility grid. This means you can make the most of the electricity you generate yourself, while also charging during cheaper off-peak hours.

On average, battery installation usually takes less than 1 day. If you have a battery installed in conjunction with solar panels, it may take longer (usually up to 2 days), depending on the complexity of the work required. For example, this timeline does not include setting up scaffolding for new solar panels.

The libbi battery and inverter can be installed both indoors and outdoors; however, the libbi controller must be installed indoors.

When installing indoors, there must be sufficient space around the system to allow for airflow, and it usually cannot be installed in attics (due to its weight) or because it would block an entry or exit route.

Our certified installation partners will guide you through their initial assessment to determine the best location for your Libbi.

The libbi system has a modular design. This allows you to create a battery storage system ranging from 5 kWh (1 battery) to 20 kWh (4 batteries).

The size of the Libbi system that is best suited for your home will be determined by one of our certified installation partners

This calculation is based on the size and electricity needs of your home, plus the size of your existing solar panel system. A typical household consumes an average of between 8 kWh and 10 kWh of electricity per day.

By taking these factors into account, our installers can ensure that your Libbi has sufficient capacity to store any excess solar energy you’ve generated or your lower-cost grid electricity.

Yes! libbi can store excess electricity generated by independent wind turbines installed in your home. When it detects excess electricity, libbi ensures that it is stored for future use or used to power your other devices, such as zappi and eddi (based on your charging preferences).

Yes, libbi can be installed on one phase of your three-phase home connection; you can install up to three libbi systems (one on each phase). Alternatively, we’ll also be launching a version with a three-phase inverter in the future, so keep an eye on our website!

The Libbi system can be installed with an optional “blackout backup.”

This means that in the event of a power outage, libbi will supply the stored electricity to a dedicated circuit or outlet connected to the libbi backup output.
