Make your solar panels smarter with eddi, the ultimate solar power diverter
A solar panel system without an EDDI is like a car without a steering wheel or a driver. Without an EDDI, you have no control over where you want your self-generated energy to go or how you want to use it.
Solar PV owners without an EDDI waste large amounts of the energy they generate themselves by feeding unused electricity back into the grid for free or at a low cost.
A solar diverter ensures that you maximize the use of all the solar and wind energy you generate by diverting it for use within your own home—for example, to power heating systems, heat water, or maximize the efficiency of a heat pump. The possibilities are endless!
Get the most out of your solar power with eddi
eddi can be easily connected to any existing solar panel system. Once connected, eddi continuously makes smart decisions in less than 1 second about how and where the energy generated by your home is used.
eddi feeds all excess solar or wind power back into your home, thereby maximizing your use of self-generated energy instead of exporting it to the power grid. This allows you to heat water with solar energy—completely free!
Eddi is a solar power diverter that works in conjunction with a hot-water boiler. Unlike standard boilers, which simply turn on or off, Eddi continuously adjusts the heating element—much like a light dimmer. This ensures that every watt of excess solar power is efficiently stored in the hot-water tank, allowing us to maximize your use of solar power!
eddi can heat the water using lower levels of solar power (starting at 150 watts), which means that eddi can use trickle charging to heat the water while the heat pump is not running.
With standard solar panels without smart controls, you use an average of only 30% of the solar power you generate and feed 70% back into the grid. With Myenergi’s water battery, you can increase your self-consumption to as much as 80%. This gives you control over how you use your own energy and maximizes your return on investment.

Use the myenergi app to adjust and optimize the settings of your ECO smart devices, so you can achieve maximum efficiency from your heating devices and other smart devices. Set timers for your water heater using the myenergi app.
eddi is future-proof, featuring eco-smart technology, and connects to the internet via Wi-Fi or Ethernet, allowing it to fully integrate and work in harmony with other Smart Grid-ready products in and around your home, such as heat pumps, home battery storage systems (such as libbi), and EV charging stations (such as zappi)
Power your heat pump with eddi's smart technology
If there isn’t enough solar energy to power the heat pump, eddi takes over the task of heating water using any available solar energy. We call this “slow charging during low generation.”
With eddi, you can fully heat your water using much smaller amounts of solar energy, such as on winter mornings, late summer evenings, or cloudy days. This ultimately improves the heat pump’s lifespan and efficiency and prevents reliance on additional power from the grid.
eddi automatically switches between heating sources depending on the level of energy generation. It switches between the heat pump (during hours of optimal energy generation) and eddi, which slowly charges using the electric heater (during periods of lower energy generation), depending on your selected settings and preferences.
Track dynamic rates
Our smart ECO technology makes intelligent decisions based on self-generated energy and the energy rates from your energy provider. This makes it possible to optimize your myenergi devices so they draw power from the grid when the hourly kWh price is at its lowest.
Exceeding Safety Standards
Safety comes first. Every myenergi product is designed to meet the highest possible standards in energy efficiency, but we place just as much importance on safety. Although we comply with all industry safety standards, we always strive to provide the safest experience possible for our installers and users. That is why we were the first to introduce PEN fault detection, even before other manufacturers did.
