EDDI can be easily connected to any existing solar panel system. Once connected, eddi continuously makes intelligent decisions in less than 1 second about how and where your home energy generation is used. EDDI offers 6 key features:-
EDDI redirects any excess solar or wind generation back into the home, maximizing the consumption of your self-generated energy instead of exporting it to the grid. This allows you to heat water with solar energy – completely free of charge!

EDDI will switch between heating devices depending on the amount of generation and the temperature of the water at any given time, and will select the most efficient way to keep the water heated.
EDDI supports destratification, which allows hot water to circulate inside the tank, where traditionally hot water rises to the top of the tank. The secondary circulation feature will help circulate hot water throughout your property at peak times to ensure that the hot water is available faster.
Use the myenergi app to adjust and optimize the settings of your ECO smart devices, in order to achieve the maximum efficiency of your heating devices and other smart devices. Set timers for your hot water boiler via the myenergi app.
eddi is future-proof, with eco smart technology, and connects to the internet via WiFi or Ethernet, allowing it to fully integrate and work in harmony with other Smart-Grid-ready products in and around your home, such as heat pumps, home battery storage systems (such as libbi) and EV charging stations (such as zappi)
Run your heat pump with eddi's intelligence
If there is not enough solar energy to power the heat pump, eddi takes over the task of heating water using any available solar energy. We call this 'slow charging at low generation'.
EDDI can fully heat your water with much lower amounts of solar energy, such as during winter mornings, late summer evenings, or cloudy days. This ultimately improves the life and efficiency of the heat pump and avoids dependency on additional power from the grid.
EDDI will allow the automatic switching of heating equipment depending on the generation level. It switches between the heat pump (during hours of optimal generation) or eddi, which charges slowly using the electric heater (during periods of lower generation), depending on your chosen settings and preferences.

Our smart ECO technology makes intelligent decisions based on self-generated energy and the energy tariffs of your energy supplier. This makes it possible to optimize your myenergi devices when drawing power from the grid at times when the kWh-hour price is at its lowest.
