What does it do?
The excess energy you’ve generated with your solar system is used by our smart energy manager, Eddi, to heat your water. Don’t have any excess energy? In that case, Eddi can also draw energy from the grid at the times that are most cost-effective for you.

Any excess solar energy you generate is normally fed back into the grid. If you’ve already invested in solar panels, you naturally want to use as much of your own electricity as possible. That’s possible with eddi. By interrupting the power cycle and redirecting the electricity to your heating systems, eddi allows you to supply your home with hot water and make the most of the energy you generate yourself.

Our eco-smart technology makes intelligent decisions based on the energy you generate yourself and your energy provider’s rates. At certain times of day, flexible energy rates are significantly cheaper. With eddi, you can use the built-in, programmable boost timers to ensure that you use energy from your energy provider during the most cost-effective times. In addition to eddi, your other myenergi devices can also be optimized to use energy from the grid at the lowest possible rate per kWh.
Save for later
Another advantage of eddi is that it also works with various energy storage systems, such as a home battery. So, if you don't need the excess energy right away, you can divert it to your storage system to use it later, when you do need it.

The eddi energy diverter redirects the power based on your energy generation and consumption
Your eddi power redirector contains a grid current sensor, also known as a CT clamp (Current Transformer), that monitors your power generation and redirects the surplus to your heating system. The eddi records all energy-saving data, allowing you to save continuously by optimizing your usage.
For your peace of mind, the system also features automatic adjustment for daylight saving time, as well as protection against overloads and short circuits. You can also opt for a wireless installation, connected to Harvi. The eddi fully complies with global electrical grid standards and comes with a 3-year warranty.
