myenergi welcomes Melanie Onn MP to Stallingborough headquarters

Last week (9 June), Melanie Onn, Labour MP for Great Grimsby and Cleethorpes, visited myenergi’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Stallingborough, Lincolnshire, to experience the company’s production operations and explore its commitment to putting the region on the map as a hub of green energy excellence.

A global leader in the design and manufacture of home energy technologies, myenergi’s ultramodern site is responsible for the design, development and production of leading smart devices to support consumers with their green energy transition. As a major employer in the region, the business invests heavily in providing opportunities for local workers, upskilling its staff and funding continuous innovation.

Having publicly spoken about her mission of building strong communities, bringing companies together to deliver new skills and supporting investment into clean, green jobs, Onn was impressed by myenergi’s advanced facilities and pioneering development programmes, as well as its commitment to championing the local area.

Renowned worldwide for designing the world’s first solar compatible electric vehicle (EV) charger – zappi, myenergi manufactures a range of eco-smart devices that help homeowners to save money and reduce reliance on the grid. Having quickly grown from a passionate tech start-up to a market leader, the company plays a driving role in positioning North-East Lincolnshire as a hub for energy technology excellence.

Commenting on the visit, Andrew Clint, CEO of myenergi, said: “It was a pleasure to welcome Melanie to our Stallingborough headquarters. The facility, which was recently expanded to bring the group’s UK production operations on-site, is a real showcase of next-generation manufacturing excellence. Featuring some of the world’s most advanced production equipment, it demonstrates how growing demand for renewables is driving green tech innovation and paving the way to a low carbon future.”

Melanie added: “myenergi is a fantastic example of a thriving local business: creating high-quality jobs, investing in skills and showing that North-East Lincolnshire can lead the way in the green economy. From apprentices to advanced engineers, they’re not just building brilliant products, they’re developing the next generation of local talent.

“Their factory in Stallingborough is seriously impressive, and it’s great to see our area right at the forefront of green innovation. It’s clear that there are real opportunities for people to build careers and succeed in well-paid, skilled work through companies like myenergi, and that is vital for our local economy.”

Melanie Onn is the Labour MP for Great Grimsby and Cleethorpes, and has been a member of The Energy Security and Net Zero Committee since March.
