With more than 780,000 customers, SSE Airtricity is one of the country’s leading energy providers, and is now an official installation partner for the award-winning zappi EV charger. This collaboration brings together two forward-thinking organisations committed to a cleaner, more sustainable future through innovative, customer-focused technology.
zappi – widely recognised as the first solar-compatible EV charger in the world – has set a new benchmark in home charging. With advanced smart features, seamless solar integration, and app-based control, zappi offers users unmatched energy independence and flexibility, making it the ideal solution for households and businesses across Ireland.
SSE Airtricity customers with a zappi EV charger can now integrate with the SSE Airtricity EnergiHub app. This simple integration will allow customers to optimise their nighttime charging with AI; not only reducing their carbon footprint, but also reducing their energy bills by up to €674*.
zappi customers with an Activ8 installed solar & battery system can also take advantage of the EnergiHub optimisation; whereby the app will optimise their household energy usage.

Without EnergiHub, the cost of charging the vehicle would be €788.70. With EnergiHub, the cost of charging the vehicle at home would be reduced to €114.45, saving €674.25.”
