Yes. libbi 2 is built from modular 5 kWh blocks, starting with one and scaling up to eight (40 kWh) whenever you like. The controllers pair automatically.
Yes. libbi 2 operates as AC-coupled storage without solar, charging from the grid during off-peak tariff windows and discharging during peak periods.
libbi 2 has you covered, automatically. The moment the grid drops, it instantly islands your home and powers your essential circuits (up to 21.7A) with no action from you. And if the outage runs long and you run out of stored energy, true blackstart lets libbi to reboot itself and start recharging when the sun returns.
libbi 2 continues operating normally. Core energy management, backup and charging run locally. The app needs connectivity for remote monitoring, but the system does not.
Libbi 2 can be AC coupled, with or without a third party solar inverter. It can also be DC coupled to a new solar array.
Yes, AC-coupled retrofit works alongside any existing solar array regardless of brand.
