A three-phase charger can charge your EV at a maximum of 22kW (vehicle permitting). They are more common on workplace and commercial buildings, though modern homes with three-phase supplies can benefit from faster charge rates.

A single-phase (1ph) charger can charge your EV at a maximum of 7.4kW. This is most commonly found in homes and other domestic properties.

Untethered chargers do not come with a cable attached to the unit, meaning you will need to use a separate cable to charge.

Tethered chargers come with a 6.5m cable attached to the unit which cannot be detached. The cable has a Type 2 plug attached which has become the worldwide industry standard and is suitable for all modern EV’s. (Excluding a handful of early Type 1 models, hence if you have Type 1 you should choose the untethered unit)

__How much power would you like to store?__

Each battery module can store 5kWh of power and you can add up to 4 module's to one inverter, giving you a maximum of 20kWh.
If you require more than 20kWh of storage, you would need 2 inverters.

As a guide, the average UK household uses around 8-10kWh of electricity per day. Therefore, 10kWh is the most common option. If you have a particularly large household you may require more storage, however you can always add more modules later.
