Hailed as the \u2018future\u2019 of the auto industry,\u00a0Tesla CEO Elon Musk has said that that design is \u2018cyberpunk\u2019, and inspired by the film \u2018Blade Runner\u2019. But it\u2019s not just the futuristic exterior that has people talking\u2026<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"h4  text-left  \">What makes Cybertruck so impressive?<\/h4>\n<p>Musk has claimed that the Cybertruck can withstand the impact of a sledgehammer and a 9mm calibre bullet. The entrepreneur \u2013 and Myenergi hero! \u2013 also says the electric vehicle has Autopilot as standard, and that it can go 0-60mph in 2.9 seconds, as well as tow over 7500lbs.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0dramatic specification\u00a0doesn\u2019t stop there. The interior of the Cybertruck includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A 17-inch display screen in the center<\/li>\n<li>Seating for 6 people on two bench seats<\/li>\n<li>A marble effect interior, made from sustainable non-petroleum based resins.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"h4  text-left  \">How does the Tesla Cybertruck work?<\/h4>\n<p>The Cybertruck uses self-levelling suspension, and some models will have all-wheel drive with the option to choose between one, two or three engines. The electric vehicle also includes on-board power inverters (supplying 120 and 240-volt electricity) and an air compressor, allowing for the use of power tools and pneumatic tools.<\/p>\n<p>The exterior of the Cybertruck is stainless steel sheet metal, engineered to be bullet resistant. All the vehicles will have the hardware capabilities to become self driving. Tesla is already accepting pre-orders with a $7,000 \u2018full self-driving\u2019 option.<\/p>\n<p>Musk has also said that he would love for the Cybertruck to become self-powered in the future. In a\u00a0tweet\u00a0he confirmed there will be optional solar panels that could add 15 miles per day.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"h4  text-left  \">Is there anything else like the Cybetruck?<\/h4>\n<p>Competitors such as Ford and Rivian are already rising up to meet the challenge, releasing competitors with equally impressive specifications. The\u00a0US\u2019 best-selling vehicle, the Ford F-150, is starting production on an electric version in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Musk has already hit back, rising to the challenge on\u00a0Twitter\u00a0of a proposed tug-of-war between the Ford and Tesla vehicles. The\u00a0video\u00a0footage of the event shows the Cybertruck pulling the Ford uphill with ease.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Rivian R1T Electric Pickup\u00a0is another Cybertruck rival that has generated a huge amount of anticipation for its release in late 2020. And how much will it cost?<\/h5>\n<p>In November 2019, Tesla said that Cybertruck production was scheduled to start in late 2021, and then expand to offer more models in 2022. All the specifications however are for models being released in the US, it is unclear for aspiring UK owners if the model will be the same.<\/p>\n<p>Prices in the UK start from \u00a331,000 for an entry-level, single motor vehicle.
