Not to mention the fact that livestock emissions from fertiliser and methane-based cow waste make up between\u00a014.5% and 18% of total global greenhouse emissions.<\/p>\n<p>Those looking to reduce their carbon footprint when it comes to food should also set a New Year\u2019s resolution to buy more locally produced products. This type of illumination requires\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.carbonfootprint.com\/lightbulbs.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">20% less power<\/a>\u00a0than regular household lighting yet can last up to 15 times longer.
