This five-pin connector was the original type of charger for the first electric vehicles on the market, and it is designed for fast and slow charging on an Alternating Current (AC).<\/p>\n<p>A Type 1 plug is able to accept a power charge of between 3kW and 7kW, and although it is rare to find a compatible public charger, all vehicles that come with a Type 1 charger will have an adaptor.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"swiper-slide max-w-[330px] md:max-w-full px-10 pt-16 pb-8 lg:pb-16 text-greydark hover:cursor-grab active:cursor-grabbing rounded-2.5xl bg-green\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"first-mt-0 last-mb-0\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3>Type 2 Plug<\/h3>\n<p>While the answer to \u201care all electric car chargers the same?\u201d is no, Type 2 chargers are by far the most common in the world. In Europe, all manufacturers of EVs now need to fit the seven-pin Type 2 plug as standard.<\/p>\n<p>Just like Type 1, these types of charger are suitable for slow and fast charging and can handle up to 22kW.
