This means that almost every EV is compatible and can be loaded with zappi.<\/p>\n<p>The zappi can also\u00a0alter its charging strength\u00a0to be compatible with your EV, and can adjust depending on grid changes to save you money.<\/p>\n<h5>Can zappi be used by hybrid cars?<\/h5>\n<p>Standard hybrid cars are similar to petrol or diesel engined vehicles. The difference is in the engine, as hybrids have a regular combustion engine\u00a0<em>and<\/em>\u00a0an electric motor \u2013 meaning there\u2019s no need to charge.<\/p>\n<p>However, some manufacturers are creating plug-in hybrids (or PHEVs) that have more powerful\u00a0batteries\u00a0that can be recharged by \u2018plugging in\u2019 the car.\u00a0The Land Rover PHEV\u00a0or\u00a0Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, for instance, are plug-in hybrids compatible with our zappi charger.<\/p>\n<h5>Why does zappi have different charging modes?<\/h5>\n<p>zappi has three different\u00a0types of charging mode: Fast, ECO and ECO+. These modes give you the power to decide how quickly and economically to charge your EV.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fast charge<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On Fast charge, zappi prioritises time by using energy from your renewable generator and the grid.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ECO mode<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On ECO mode, zappi becomes an intelligent device that adjusts the charge rate to minimise taking energy from the grid, by only taking the energy it needs.
